Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how RAZIUN (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit raziun.com (the “site”). RAZIUN is published by Hu’s. For any privacy question, email contact@raziun.com with the subject line Privacy.

Summary

  • We collect only the information needed to run the site, answer your messages and display comments.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Where the law requires it, analytics cookies are used only with your consent. We do not currently use advertising cookies.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Emails. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message.
  • Comments. If you comment on an article, we collect the name, email address and optional website you enter, plus your comment. Your email address is never shown publicly.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information when you visit. This includes your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time. It is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose problems.
  • Comment data. When you leave a comment, we also store your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam.

Comments and profile pictures

If you leave a comment, an anonymised string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be sent to the Gravatar service, run by Automattic, to check whether you use it. If you do, your Gravatar profile picture appears next to your comment. Gravatar’s privacy policy: automattic.com/privacy.

Published comments are publicly visible. We keep comments and their data until the comment is deleted, so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. RAZIUN currently uses these:

  • Comment cookies (optional). When you comment, you can choose to have your name, email address and website saved in cookies, so you don’t need to enter them again. These last for one year.
  • Login cookies. These are set only for people who log in to manage the site, not for readers.
  • Analytics cookies. Google Analytics cookies help us measure how the site is used. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland they are set only with your consent.

Our site uses caching to load pages faster. Caching does not track readers.

You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop some features, such as saving your comment details, from working.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, your device and browser, and your approximate location based on your IP address, using cookies or similar identifiers. We use the reports only in aggregated form, to understand which articles are useful and to improve the site. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies are used only with your consent. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

How Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Advertising

RAZIUN does not currently display advertising. We may display ads in the future, including through Google AdSense if our application is approved. When ads are shown on the site, the following applies:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices, or, in Europe, at youronlinechoices.eu.
  • If other ad networks serve ads on RAZIUN, we will name them here and link to their websites and opt-out pages.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used. If you decline, you may still see ads, but they will not be personalised. You can change your choice at any time using the privacy settings link on the site.

In some US states, using advertising cookies for targeted advertising may count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information. When ads are enabled, we will provide a way for residents of those states to opt out.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • run and secure the site, and fix technical problems
  • reply to your emails and keep a record of our conversations
  • display comments and protect the site from spam and abuse
  • understand how the site is used and improve it, with any required consent
  • show advertising, once ads are enabled with any required consent
  • comply with legal obligations

If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal bases are: our legitimate interests in running and protecting the site and answering messages; your consent, for analytics and advertising cookies where consent is required; and compliance with the law.

How we share information

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers that help us run the site, such as our web hosting provider, Hostinger, and our email provider. They process data on our behalf.
  • Google, which provides our analytics service, and any advertising partners once ads are enabled, as described above.
  • Authorities or others, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our readers or the public.
  • A new owner, if RAZIUN is sold or transferred. This policy would continue to apply to your information.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

How long we keep information

  • Emails: for as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up, after which we delete them unless we must keep them for legal reasons.
  • Comments: until the comment is deleted or you ask us to remove it.
  • Server logs: for a limited period set by our hosting provider for security and operations.
  • Analytics data: no longer than 14 months.

How we protect information

The site uses HTTPS encryption. We keep the site’s software up to date and limit access to the site’s administration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you
  • correct inaccurate information
  • delete your information
  • receive a copy of your information in a portable format
  • object to or restrict certain uses of your information
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
  • opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising, under some US state laws

To use any of these rights, email contact@raziun.com with the subject line Privacy. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on your request, and we will respond within the time the law requires. We will not treat you differently for using your privacy rights.

If you are in the EEA or UK and are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK, that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children’s privacy

RAZIUN is a general-audience magazine and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA and UK. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International visitors

RAZIUN is read around the world. Our hosting and service providers may store or process information in countries other than the one you live in, and those countries’ data protection laws may differ from yours. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

We will update this policy when our practices change, for example when we add analytics or advertising. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes, we will place a notice on the site.
